Conveying the CITIZEN Brand's Allure from Milan
CITIZEN's product philosophy is "The Fusion of Technology and Beauty." With the belief that technology is meaningless without beauty, we have sought that "Beauty" in the microcosm of time. CITIZEN for the first time will exhibit at MILAN DESIGN WEEK in April 2014. The purpose of the exhibition is to demonstrate this philosophy in a venue and place far removed from our watch making roots. Reaching beyond our traditional expositions at watch and jewelry fairs CITIZEN is planning to connect to the over 320,000 influential people from more than 160 countries who attend this global design fair. Through our presence at the fair we will have the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world and share with them our vision for the future by fusing technology with design.
The installation's theme is "LIGHT is TIME." We will deliver a message to the world from Milan that CIITIZEN is a company that explores the relationship between light and time and instead of stopping in the present, CITIZEN continues its quest into the future.

INSTALLATION
-
We will have an installation with a "LIGHT is TIME" theme at the Triennale di Milano exhibition hall. The piece was fashioned by CITIZEN's design team and successful Paris-based architect Tsuyoshi Tane (DGT). Using 80,000 main plates, the basic component of a watch, the installation will produce a magical space in the exhibition hall. We will also portray the allure of CITIZEN design by simultaneously displaying a 1920s pocket watch that represents CITIZEN's origins, alongside our latest model the Satellite Wave F100 representing CITIZEN present.
