New combination watches to celebrate
the PROMASTER brand’s 35th anniversary
The CITIZEN PROMASTER line of professional sports watches offers superior functionality to ignite the imagination. The latest additions to the PROMASTER line-up are three new light-powered Eco-Drive*1 combination watch models equipped with a newly developed Cal. U822 movement.

CITIZEN PROMASTER was established in 1989 as a brand of watch to meet the demands of professionals active in the most challenging environments of the land, sea, and sky. The brand is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2024. Three combination watch models with a newly developed Cal. U822 movement are being launched to celebrate this milestone. The display has been upgraded from segment LCD to a Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) display. This new technology offers a higher resolution for better visibility and opens up new possibilities for displaying more information. MIP displays are also much easier to see outdoors. Other functional upgrades include the ability to set multiple alarms for different times on different days. The light level indicator*2, which visualizes the power generated by light-powered Eco-Drive, now has improved visibility and it can display up to seven days of power generation history. Power generation details are indicated on the digital display in an intuitive format, making it easy to remember when to recharge.
The dial features large, legible hands combined with Arabic numerals and bar indices. The matte finish on the dial reduces glare and ensures that the analog display is always clearly visible. The inner ring can be rotated using the crown at the 8 o’clock position to use the watch as a compass. The polyurethane band now contains BENEBiOL™*3, a biomass-based raw material, for improved durability.

A first within the watch industry, Eco-Drive was certified as an Eco Mark product by the Japan Environment Association (JEA) and recognized for its contribution to environmental sustainability.
