CITIZEN Watch is releasing a new model under its Series 8 collection of mechanical watches that combine practicality and functionality with modern designs.

This limited-edition model celebrating the 100th anniversary of the first CITIZEN-branded watch features the distinctive two-piece structure of the centre case that has become the signature of the 880 Mechanical line-up. Contrasting grey and blue colors create an eye-catching look that highlights the unique case design that is exclusive to Series 8 models. The integrated bracelet connected to the lug-free case also echoes the same grey and blue tones. The refined mother-of-pearl dial is finished with a striking blue gradation.
The Cal. 9054 movement is equipped with a GMT function that makes it possible to display the time in up to three time zones when the bi-directional rotating bezel is used. The GMT function allows the hour hand to be adjusted freely without affecting the minute, second, or 24-hour hands. The hour hand can be moved forward or backward in units of one hour to display local time, making it perfect for overseas vacations and business trips.
The movement also has magnetic resistance to maintain the accuracy of the watch by reducing the effects of magnetic fields produced by smartphones and tablets in our digital society. Features include average daily accuracy of -10 to +20 seconds and a running time of approx. 50 hours. The transparent case back reveals the beating heart of the watch.

Local time in a second time zone can be displayed using the 24-hour hand. The bidirectional rotating bezel also makes it possible to rapidly confirm the time in a third time zone.
