The assembly process

SCROLL

Hand-assembled by skilled craftsmen.

When the 85 components are ready, they are passed on to CITIZEN’s skilled master craftsmen for hand-assembly. Our craftsmen had to invent entirely new assembly techniques to achieve the record-setting thinness of the watch.

With a 1.00mm thick movement and a 2.98 mm case, Eco-Drive One is the world’s thinnest light-powered watch. We succeeded in making it because CITIZEN is a manufacture d’horlogerie, doing everything from making the individual parts to performing final assembly in-house.
