Q. |
How long is the continuous usage time of the battery after it is fully
charged? |
|
A. |
The watch will be functional about 1 month with the condition of
30 minutes dive twice in every week. Since the continuous usage time of
the battery depends on how frequent you dive and the diving time, we recommend
to fully charge the battery before diving trip.
In the condition that you don't dive at all, the watch will continue to run for about 2 months. |
|
Q. |
How long does the secondary battery last? |
|
A. |
The battery performance drops down approximately 10% in 10 years.
Since this drop down has been already counted on the continuous usage time
of the battery, we assume not to affect usage of the watch. |
|
Q. |
How long does the battery fully charge? |
|
A. |
After completely discharged, the battery will be fully charged in
about 6 hours. |
|
Q. |
Is the communication unit water-resistant? |
|
A. |
No, it is not. When you attach the watch onto it, make sure it is
dry. |
|
Q. |
How do you charge the battery? |
|
A. |
Install four AA size alkaline batteries in the communication unit
(CMUT-02) and attach the watch onto it. Battery charging will be started
automatically. While the watch battery is being charged, the blue LED of
the communication unit lights up. If the watch battery is charged fully,
the blue LED goes off. After that, check the watch if the battery charge
indicator is at the full charge level. |
|
Q. |
The watch display does not change into battery charge indicator display
when I attach the watch onto the communication unit. Why? |
|
A. |
The watch may not be attached to the communication unit correctly.
The blue LED is lit even if the connecting terminals of the communication
unit touches any part of the case body. Check that the terminal pins of
the watch and the connecting terminals of the communication unit are connected
correctly. |
|
Q. |
The blue LED is lighting up but the battery is not charged. Why? |
|
A. |
The watch may not be attached to the communication unit correctly.
The blue LED lights even if the connecting terminals of the communication
unit touches the case of the watch. Check that the terminal pins of the
watch and the connecting terminals of the communication unit are connected
correctly. |
|
Q. |
How many times can I charge the battery of the watch with the four
AA batteries in the communication unit? |
|
A. |
20 to 50 times in the case that charging the completely discharged
battery fully.
(Note that those numbers depend on the AA battery types and the quantity
of the battery consumption while they are left in the communication unit.) |
|
Q. |
How can I know if the batteries in the communication unit are consumed? |
|
A. |
The blue LED does not light up even if the watch is attached to the
communication unit. If the blue LED goes out while the watch battery is
being charged, the watch battery is not charged fully. Check the battery
charge indicator of the watch. If the indicator is not at the full charge
level, replace the all four batteries and charge the watch battery again. |
|
Q. |
Do I have to connect the communication unit to PC while charging the battery? |
|
A. |
No, you don't. You only need four AA type batteries to charge the
watch battery. |
|
Q. |
Can I use the power from USB connection to charge the battery? |
|
A. |
No you cannot. The watch battery can be charged only from AA type
batteries. |
|
Q. |
How do I know that the watch battery is charged fully? |
|
A. |
The blue LED of the communication unit goes out. Please check that
the battery charge indicator of the watch is at the full charge level. |
|
Q. |
Do I have to remove the watch immediately from the communication
unit after the battery is charged fully? |
|
A. |
The communication unit has a protection for overcharging. The watch
batteries are safe if the watch is left on the communication unit. But
the batteries in the communication unit will be consumed gradually. |
|
Q. |
The blue LED of the communication unit goes on and off while charging
the watch battery. Why? |
|
A. |
It may happen when the watch battery is nearly fully charged. This
is not a malfunction. Keep charging the battery. If the battery is charged
fully, the LED goes off. If the LED keeps on and off for a certain period
of time, the batteries in the communication unit may have been worn out.
In this case, replace those batteries. |
|
Q. |
The check mark "CHK" is displayed while the watch battery is
being charged. Why? |
|
A. |
This is not a malfunction. Keep charging until the blue LED goes
off. |
|
Q. |
The charge level increases while the watch battery is not being charged.
Why? |
|
A. |
Some of the functions of this watch need more batteries than others
and its voltage lowers temporarily in those functions. After coming back
to normal function, voltage recovers and the battery charge level may be
increased. This is not a malfunction. We recommend you to charge the battery. |
