“ANNUAL ACCURACY ±1 second CAL.0100”
This is an open presentation by the engineers who created CITIZEN’s Caliber 0100, the ultraprecise watch accurate to within one second per year. We believe that people will enjoy more accurate and longer-lasting memories of the most important moments in their lives if they can keep precise track of each individual second of time. We will be showing some of our intricate designs and explaining the testing and evaluation processes that went into developing the Caliber 0100. We look forward to the opportunity to talk with visitors to Baselworld about what this watch means for the future of timekeeping.

“Sleeping Beauty”
This is a performance by the up-and-coming dancer AOI YAMADA. Based around the motif of Sleeping Beauty, AOl YAMADA will explore our sense of time in all its ramifications, using the body and movement to express the idea of sleep while roaming through a space decorated with 70,000 dangling watch main plates . From the finite human body, to the unknowable expanse of time... When my body finally returns to dust, where will my consciousness go..?

AOI YAMADA
Artiste
Born in Nagano, Japan, in 2000, AOI YAMADA is an up-and-coming dance artiste. She has a multifaceted career, spanning live performance, commercials and music videos. This is her second year performing for CITIZEN at Baselworld.

Yuko Okubo
Performer / Director / Dancer
After working with Asami Maki Ballet, Yuko Okubo began performing contemporary dance at dance festivals around the world. She founded KATHY, a performance group that seeks to fuse art and dance. She has been invited to perform at LISTE (part of Art Basel, the world’s biggest art fair) and taken part in a group exhibition at the Yokohama Museum of Art. From experimental performances in galleries to theatrical performance, she has created a wide range of pieces.
In parallel with staging her own performances, she directs fashion shows, does choreography, and is employed as artistic adviser for establishing the Yokohama Municipal Ballet Troupe, the Kanagawa Prefectural Silver Dance Company, where she is a key member of the management team.
