Exquisite mother-of-pearl inlay and the deep luster of black lacquer evoke the Milky Way flowing across the nighttime sky.
Technology and tradition are fused together in this lacquered dial model. To ensure a tight bond between lacquer and metal, a high-precision electroforming process is used to create an intricately patterned metal base for the face. Five layers of lacquer are then applied by hand, and individual pieces of mother-of-pearl are artfully arranged to form the celestial motif. Finally, the face is coated again with lacquer and hand-polished to bring out the lustrous beauty of the deep black lacquer and mother-of-pearl inlay.
