Movement of a hand seems strange
Before starting troubleshooting
Check movement of the second hand.
- Push the crown in to position 0.
- Check movement of the second hand.

When the second hand is moving once every two seconds, power reserve is nearly empty.
Charge immediately.
Charge the watch previously if required.
The indication of the time is incorrect.
Possible cause and condition
1. | Time zone is set to any other area than that which you want to indicate time of on the watch. |
2. | Summer time setting is incorrect, not fit for actual implementation status of summer time in your place. |
3. | The watch has not received time signals successfully owing to its environmental conditions. |
4. | Reference position is incorrect. |

1. Checking the time zone setting
Here, it is set as the goal to indicate Japan time in Japan, for example.

- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Check whether the second hand points the 22-second position.
- Rotate the crown to make the second hand point the 22-second position.

2. Checking the summer time setting

When you indicate time in another place, adjust summer time setting fit for actual summer time implementation status of the place.
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Rotate the crown counterclockwise to switch the summer time setting to “SMT OFF”.
- Push the crown in to position 0 to finish the procedure.
The second hand indicates the current summer time setting.

3. Checking signal reception status
Checking the previous signal reception result at first.
- Push the crown in to position 0.
- Press and release the button.
The second hand indicates the result of the last signal reception.

Press the button again to return to normal indication.
The hand returns to normal indication automatically in 10 seconds without pressing the button.
If the previous signal reception failed, your signal reception environment must be improved.
When receiving time signals, check the direction of the target signal station, remove the watch and place it on a stable surface where it can receive the signal better, such as next to a window.
- When wire glass is used for the window, open it or change the reception place.
- The reception antenna is located at the 8:00 position of the watch.
Place the watch with the 8:00 position facing toward the station. - Do not move the watch during time signal reception.
- Push the crown in to position 0.
- Press and hold the button for 2 seconds or more.
- Put the watch in the place with good conditions for time signal reception.
The second hand indicates the result of the last signal reception.
After that, the second hand points to “RX” and signal reception starts.

Do not move the watch as far as possible while the second hand points “RX”.
The watch returns to normal indication after the reception finished.
The indication of the time became correct.

4. Checking and correcting the reference position
Check the current reference position of the hands of the watch and correct it if needed.
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds or more.
- Check and correct the reference positions of them referring to the illustration.
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Rotate the crown to adjust the hour hand and the pictorial indication (Sun and Moon) to the correct reference position.
- Push the crown in to position 0 to finish the procedure.
The hands and indication move to their current reference position.

Release the button as the hands start to move.

Proceed to the next step when the hands and indication stop.
Correct reference positions
Hour, minute and second hands: 0 hour 00 minute 0 second
Pictorial indication (Sun and Moon): the moon is at straightly above.
