Reference position
Checking and correcting the reference position
If the time or calendar is not shown correctly even after proper reception of the time info, check whether the current reference position is correct.
- The reference position is the base position of all hands and calendar to indicate the various functions of this watch correctly.
- If the hands and indication do not reflect the correct reference position, the time and calendar will not be indicated accurately even if the time info is received.
Caution
Be sure to check the current reference position and adjust it only when the position is not correct.
- Pull the crown out to position 1.
- Rotate the crown to make the second hand point the flight mode setting ( ON/OFF).
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds.
- Check the reference position.
- Pull the crown out to position 2.
- Press and release the button repeatedly to change the hand/indication to be corrected.
- Rotate the crown to adjust the hand/indication.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7.
- Push the crown in to position 0.
- Press the button to finish the procedure.
The second hand indicates the alarm setting ( ON/OFF).

Each time you rotate the crown, the second hand moves as follows:
Alarm setting ( ON/OFF) ↔ ACT ↔ Flight mode setting ( ON/OFF) ↔ Alarm setting ( ON/OFF)
The hands and indication start to move to the current reference positions stored in memory.

Release the button as the second hand start to move.
Proceed to the next step when the hands and indication stop.

After the hands and indication stop, check whether all the hands and indication are at correct positions referring to the figure below:
All hands and indication must be in the correct positions.
Correct reference positions
Hour, minute and second hands: 0 hour 00 minute 0 second
Date indication: midway between "31" and "1"
Correct | No adjustment is required. Push the crown in to position 0 to finish the procedure. |

Each time you press the button, the target changes as follows:
Hour hand and date indication → minute and second hands → (Back to the top)

The hands and indications slightly move when selected to show they become adjustable.

Hour hand/date indication and second/minute hands synchronously move, respectively.
!
When you rotate the crown quickly a few times, the hand/indication will move continuously.
To stop the rapid movement, rotate the crown in either direction.
The watch keeps to indicate the reference position.

The hands and indication return normal in 2 minutes without pressing the button.
