Reference position

Checking and correcting the reference position

If the time or calendar is not shown correctly even after proper reception of the time info, check whether the current reference position is correct.

Caution

Be sure to check the current reference position and adjust it only when the position is not correct.

  1. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  2. The second hand points to 30 seconds and stops.

  3. Rotate the crown to set [CHR] on the mode indication to the ◀ marker.
  4. !

    Set the mode name you want horizontal.

  5. Pull the crown out to position 2.
  6. The second hand, dual time indication and function indication point to 0 and stop.

  7. Press and hold the lower right button A.
  8. The hands and indication start to move to the current reference positions stored in memory.

    !

    Release the button as the hands start to move.

    !

    Some hands show special movement to adjust their position.

  9. Check the reference position.
  10. !

    After the hands and indication stop, check whether all the hands and indication are at correct positions referring to the figure below:
    All hands and indication must be in the correct positions.

    Correct reference positions

    Hour, minute and second hands: 0 hour 00 minute 0 second

    Date indication: midway between “31” and “1”

    Function indication: “S” (Sunday)

    Dual time indication: 0 hour 00 minute

    CorrectNo adjustment is required.
    Push the crown in to position 0.
    Set the mode to [TME] after that to finish the procedure.

  11. Press and release the lower right button A.
  12. The function indication slightly moves and the indication and date indication become adjustable.

  13. Press and release the lower right button A repeatedly to change the hand/indication to be corrected.
  14. !

    Each time you press the lower right button A, the target changes as follows.
    Function indication/date indicationDual time indicationHour and minute handsSecond hand → (Back to the top)

    The hands and indications slightly move when selected to show they become adjustable.

  15. Rotate the crown to adjust the hand/indication.
  16. !

    The hour and minute hands move synchronously.

    !

    Date indication changes to the next as the function indication rotates 5 times.

    !

    When you rotate the crown quickly a few times, the hand/indication will move continuously.
    To stop the rapid movement, rotate the crown in either direction.

  17. Repeat steps 7 and 8.
  18. Push the crown in to position 0.
  19. Pull the crown out to position 1.
  20. The second hand points to 30 seconds and stops.

  21. Rotate the crown to set [TME] on the mode indication to the ◀ marker.
  22. !

    Set the mode name you want horizontal.

  23. Push the crown in to position 0 to finish the procedure.
  24. The second hand returns to indicate the second.
