Reference position

Checking and correcting the reference position

If the time or calendar is not shown correctly even after proper reception of the time info, check whether the reference position is correct.

Caution

Be sure to check the current reference position
and adjust it only when the position is not correct.

  1. Push the crown in to position 0.
  2. Press and hold the upper right button B for 10 seconds.
  3. The hands and indication move to their current reference position.

    !

    Proceed to the next step when the hands and indication stop.

    After the hands and indication stopped, check whether they are at correct positions referring to the figure below.
    The reference position must be corrected if any one of the positions is incorrect.

    Correct reference positions

    Hour, minute and second hands: 0 hour 00 minute 0 second

    24-hour hand: “24”

    Date indication: midway between “31” and “1”

    Chronograph minute hand: 60 minutes (straight above)

    Chronograph 1/20 second hand: “00” (straight above)

    CorrectNo adjustment is required.
    Press and release the upper right button B to finish the procedure.

  6. Pull the crown out to position 2.
  7. The position of the chronograph 1/20 second hand becomes adjustable.

  8. Press and release the upper right button B repeatedly to change the hand/indication to be corrected.
  9. !

    Each time you press the button, the target changes as follows:
    Chronograph 1/20 second handChronograph minute hand and date indicationhour/minute/24-hour handssecond hand → (back to the top)

    !

    The hands and indications slightly move when selected to show they become adjustable.

  10. Rotate the crown to adjust the hand/indication.
  11. !

    Date indication changes to the next as the chronograph minute hand rotates 5 times.

    !

    The hour, minute and 24-hour hands move synchronously.

    !

    When you rotate the crown quickly a few times, the hand/indication will move continuously.
    To stop the rapid movement, rotate the crown in either direction.

  12. Repeat steps 5 and 6.
  13. Push the crown in to position 0.
  14. Press and release the upper right button B to finish the procedure.
  15. The watch returns to normal indication.
