A dial designed to evoke an eagle’s wings in motion
An eagle with its wings spread wide is the symbol mark of The CITIZEN. The design motif of the dial of this model is an abstract evocation of an eagle flapping its majestic wings in a cloudless sky. After the dial is coated with metallic paint, molding technology is used to create a strikingly dynamic pattern. When its subtle surface irregularities catch the light, the dial projects a powerful three dimensionality suggestive of an eagle’s wings in glorious motion.

Light-powered Eco-Drive is a CITIZEN proprietary technology that drives watches by converting all forms of light, from bright sunlight to dim indoor light, into electrical power. Eco-Drive makes regular battery replacement unnecessary. The CITIZEN has now taken Eco-Drive to a new pinnacle of precision timekeeping. This model tells the time with deviation of less than 5 seconds over the span of a whole year.
Functions include a perpetual calendar (requiring no manual adjustment for months or leap years until February 28, 2100) and a shock detection function that keeps the hands safely in position even with violent impacts.
